IMO you have to upgrade the brakes before the drop for safety purposes. Pure physics (centripetal force)

It looks good. to set you apart from everybody else with big rims, you should drop the car so it'll look way better than Donk style. Since you have a 30 series tire you should be more than fine

if you got haters, you're doing something right

all you need is a 1 inch drop in the front, just enough to eliminate that wheel-fender gap in there, oh and maybe some spacers for the rear, fluuussh that thing out on them 22s lol

It's not the ugliest 6th gen I've seen. Just lower the front and I think it'll look better.

If these rims were on a lower gen or any bigger than what they are, I'd have to throw up.

6th Gen Maxima can definitely pull off 22s but not those, sorry. Those look like Truck/SUV wheels to me. The chrome on the door handles and mirrors got to go asap. I'm sorry to have to be blunt dude but I don't like anything about it, too busy for my taste.

I love the deep lip on the rims!!!!

Except I think the biggest a Maxima of your generation should go rim-wise is 19 or 20 inch.

And for my generation is 17-18 without lip kit and 18-19 with lip kits, I have really strict tastes when it comes to rims, I like it to flow with the body, like the rim doesn't over power the car, so it is not bigger than half the height of the car, but not excessively small too.

But other than that rim and car looks like, great job

You have over $250,000 and you buy a Maxima, then add cheesy wheels and cheesy chrome accents?? You need someone that knows how to manage money?? Im available. Glad you didn't get a Ferrari because I would be upset to see a beautiful car like that with Autozone accents on it.

If you think this is the nicest you've seen on this site, I fear the future for your Maxima.

That's completely false. Usually in this community when you have "haters" (which many of the oversensitive morons on this site confuse for a normal opinion and/or constructive criticism) you're doing something wrong.

For the most part, this is a pretty conservative community which has people who know how to mod cars with good taste. If you're doing something that's ugly or stupid, people won't hesitate to let you know.

Why I'm ranting at a stupid noob who bumped a two-year-old thread, I'm not sure...

Lots of the comments above are pretty harsh. I'll take it easy... The car has a lot of potential. I really dont find chrome nor ridiculously big rims attractive(20"+ rims). Maybe with a good drop you could make it look better. I hope If you had the choice between a Maxima and a Ferrari you were smart enough to go with the Ferrari... and not put 22's on it. Keep us posted on the PROGRESS of your car...

They're just my track/beast-mode wheels. I rock SE-R's daily... Thanks for the compliment.
