so i was driving to the local mall to exchange a pair of jeans and i managed to find a bridge to hit on the way. we had about an inch or two on the roads i was doing about 20-25mph just went around a bend and the rear came out on me tried to save her but couldnt. unfortunately i do not have a winter set of wheels yet due to my lay off. sorry for the amazing phone pics!

it does not look that bad. All you need is a front bumper cover.. glad it did not break your headlights

Damn! That does suck! Sorry to hear about that, driving on ice/snow is risky.

Insurance could probably cover a new bumper?

You should know better than to go faster than a crawl on a bridge with snow in New England without snow tires in a front wheel drive car with snow and ice on the ground
It's not that bad tho. Now you can get a 03 face-lift.

ya about 20mph was apparently too fast and im guna try to get the same bumber and get a lip, 5.5 heads. i like the smaller opening bumpers with the 02-03 heads

so true! i managed to break all the plastic around the fog housing but not the fog. the sidemarker popped out and went sailing but didnt break just got to re wire it, i was definitely fortunate thats all that happened as the rails of the bridge were lower than the heads and made of wood. 15+mph faster and i would have probably went over

Could have been 1000x worse.

I'd be glad that I didn't miss the bridge completely and fall into whatever the bridge was going over.

New bumper and you're good to go.

yes i was very thankful! i almost did go over it which would have probably put me on the roof and down a 15ft drop off so im definitely thankful. new bumper is $105 shipped and whatever for paint but a new car and the injurys would be wayyyy more expensive then that!

ya it sucks! but im going to repair it in the spring and paint the whole car with a few mods as well while i got her in my fathers garage. somehow i didnt destroy any of the lights or lenses. im hoping for 5.5 heads, G or Z rims, drop, cat back and i plan on doing the roof overlay and painting the trunk like rod77 (MOTM for dec).

Like the others said, got off lucky that it only messed up the bumper cover. It's pretty hard to drive with A/S tires in the winter, almost everytime I go into snow and ice I slide around and end up getting stuck, even thought my tires are bald.

ive been thinking about it alot actually but im more fond of the smaller grill with the 5.5 heads. ive got a little while before i fix it so im keeping my eyes open to everything. im worried having the 5.5 front end will make me want the 6mt and 3.5L even more
