After 14 years...
Back in November of 1994, my dad bought a beige '95 GXE with standard sawblades. When I turned 15, my dad turned over the keys to me. On my 16th birthday, I got 99 SE wheels as my first upgrade (this is the closest picture to what it looked like since this was just after I installed my projectors).
Pic 1:

Then I got a set of 18" Rota Subzero's with Cut SE Springs (one coil front and rear).
Pic 2:

Then I got a Carbon fiber hood and D2's
Pic 3:

The car pretty much stayed that way for about 2 years. Tires were shot, and so I snagged a set of 19" SSR comp's. Only pic i have...

Then because of getting a crack in the lip of the SSR's, I decided to get a new set of wheels to change it up a bit. Went staggered on 19" SportMax 962's (19x8.5 et35 and 19x9.5 et35). Also got a Stillen front lip.
Crappy cell phone pic:

Then I started going a little crazy... I got Ionic Side skirts and R34 headlights which i proceded to stuff with 4 E55 Hella projectors (same asa 6th gen max)

Then it was time for the coup de grâce. I was undecided whether to go with a 350z daytona blue or repaint the car in a fresh coat of pebble beige. I went looking around at different dealerships to get paint color ideas. I ended up at Hendrick Chevrolet in Cary staring at a ZR1 Vette in Cyber Gray Metallic. That was the color. Researched for pictures and was completely sold. I also knew I wanted to get the body fixed up (the major stuff like the dent in my driver's door and rear quarter and my rear bumper was tore up from a hit and run).
The paint didn't turn out exactly like what I thought it would (granted I didn't pay much at all for the job), but there is definitely some pearl to it that really brings out reflected colors. The car isn't as blue as it looks in the pictures, but I'm still pleased to introduce the "New" Mad-MAX_SE:

The black car, some of you all might recognize as former Maxima of the Month, NCSU_MAX (just so happens to be my roommate and best friend). I got that kid into Maxima's and he sure got his car done a lot faster than I did (though things might be in the works still
) He's rocking a new wheel setup, 18x9.5 Rota P45r's front and rear with a 30 offset (25 in the rear thanks to a 5mm spacer - gotto rock the center caps).
Couple more pics and night shots next post...

This picture is close to what the paint really looks like, paint definitely has some kind of pearl in it...

I was saving up for the sarona rear bumper, then decided i kinda liked it without anything on the rear and just wanted to get the paint done. Just yesterday i had to get the tranny fluid flushed and the only way to get the car over the lifts in the bay was to back in...

The next major upgrades will be around April'ish; trying to get a BBK, EU, and SupraStick. Then in the Fall will be, likely a RMT.

as others have said don't get the sarona bumper. with some stillen or ionics rears you wouldn't have a problem with backing up on the bay. nonetheless nice progression!
Why dont you guys like that? I think it would flow well and not look like something just tacked on (which is my biggest problem with the ionic and stillen rear pieces. Not to mention the 95-96 Stillen rears look like caca).
its pretty funny...you have the wheel set up ive had and your room mate has the wheels i was going to get next...dangit! now i have to find some others! im calling it out now...18x11 abc exclusive's.....if you or anyone you know has a set which i doubt because of how rare they are...please let me know!
Yeah, after I got the wheels and saw how it looked on the car (and realized i could have gone a bit wider) I'm going to be getting some 255's to flush up the rear wheels and close some of the gap. The car looked alot lower in the rear with the old SSR's. I think the stretch is creating an optical illusion, because the overall tire size is only .1" less...
car looks really nice, color is different and really nice as well. car has changed from day one lol.
that rear bumper is EEEEWWWWWWWW. the front bumper is nice but it'll look better if it was all flush across instead of that gap in the middle of the lip...

Nice progress. Color is interesting, almost looks like a more metallic Sage Mist.
And are you sure you have Sprints on there? I saw you said you cut a coil off the rear, but there's still more gap than I would have thought.

The picture after that is about what the sprint drop looked like if not slightly lower in the front. I remember having about a 1 1/2 finger gap up front and a 2 finger gap in the rear on the sprints... I'll have to see if I have any pics with the sprint springs.
Edit: My fat *** is in the way, but this was on the sprint springs...

Yeah like I said in one of the posts; the next major upgrades will be around April'ish; trying to get a BBK, EU, and SupraStick. Then in the Fall will be, likely, a RMT setup or maybe a 3.5/5-spd swap.
I would, but the rear coilovers are litteraly seized at the height they are at. 2 22" pipe wrenches with my full weight and my roomate's couldn't break it loose... going to need to get a new set sometime soon. I really can't go much lower in the front because of scraping and axle noise. I already get a little axle noise when turning on uneven pavement (that is to say when the springs compress even just 1/4"). Any lower and it'll do it all the time I'm afraid, my roommate's car does it at a slightly higher ride height; we think it's due to the differences in height from a 5spd's and an auto's output. I don't really want to replace axles or deal with the sound everyday. But I do need to lower the rear about 1/2" and get a proper sized tire mounted on them.
I was able to snap a photo that more accurately depicts the color of the car:

Even still, there's more of a blueish purple hue than is actually present IRL in the picture. It might be the camera causing it, who knows
