Spring setup 2010 v.mytrannyjustwentoutandineedanewone

I bought a lot of stuff in these last few weeks and this is how my car sat last thursday morning:






this is how she sat after the tranny went out thurs evening on the way to the shop


oh well....ive been wanting to do a 5 speed swap anyway...watching someone pull your car up on a flatbed is scary

The car looks good smoked out. I'd do silver, or a machined finish on the wheels to give it some contrast though. Good luck on the 5 speed swap. You'll love it.

how many miles on the auto tranny? Is it slipping?

about 158k, but every gear was a neutral...it's not slipping it's gone

murdered out FTW! damn dude thats one clean 5th gen looks really good! my auto tranny went at about 125k. what are u dropped on?

that sucks man, im sorry to hear that. what happen to your lip? was it slipping before the drop?

I have yet to install the lip, still sitting in my room. The tranny never slipped...thats whats crazy

I've watched too many of my cars go up on a flat bed and it had me worried every single time... I usually have to show the tow driver the proper connection points for their chains, (if another heads for my suspension bars I'm gonna go to jail... )

Good luck with your tranny swap, hope you get it back on the road quickly.

sorry to hear about the tranny going...mine went at 160k..got it rebuilt and now everything is running smoothly..it was unfortunate but hey every mechanical part has a certain lifespan right...anyways the murdered out look is sick...it really works well on your ride b/c you are slammed...nice job

mine...i previously had a pos abs plastic lip, it cracked, i threw it away, and now i have this stillen lip waiting to get installed

how you take the tranny out with your wheels and axles still on si beyond my knowledge....lol


So the shop looked at my car and the tranny is fine, somehow an axle had gotten loose from the tranny so that was the problem so the 5 speed swap will have to wait a few months!!!

You may have my car mixed up with one that drives the wrong wheels.

Lucky man. When mine went it felt like it was the linkage that just snapped, but it was definitely my trans.
