Why is it i can never view any video from photobucket? It says file has invalid structure unable to load video.

Now bring that thing down to Florida and run a decent pass a OSW... When you taking it to your track?

thanks guys, id show you some pulls, but theres no reason to right now, the 2.87 pulleys is going on very soon, so ill show you guys those pulls! but it still feels pretty good to me.
i gotta look at the calendar to decide the next track date.

also, you guys think it sounds good? im looking at ways to improve it a little.

Actually, sounds a bit weird to me, is the BOV opening?
Also, what exhaust are your running? Sounds like the baffles are loose inside or something.

yeah it opens. when i really rev it. it did blow off there, but i understand why you say that cuz you cant hear it at all in that video. its distorted.

but the exhaust is stock headers, budget ypipe, budget test pipe, magnaflow resonator, budget bpipe, dynomax muffler. u think the muffler is "going bad"?

So its not venting at idle? You should be able to feel and hear air coming out of it at idle, slighlty giving it gas will cause it to close just a little and when flooring it will cause it to close completly and then once you left of the gas you will really hear it release, it should be quite loud.
To me, it sounds as if its not operating correctly and your getting compressor surge.
I dont have any vids of my old setup with the Blitz BOV and Stillen charge pipe besides an old dyno vid. But you can clearly hear it release boosts,.. even from far away. The way it sounds when its releasing boosts at redline is also the way it sounded when just tapping the gas real fast but just louder.

As far as the exhaust, IDK, just sounds weird, kind of raspy. Sounded like something was vibrating but video cameras never capture audio too great.

yeah, its venting at idle. i have it cracked about 1/4 inch or so. (do u remember how much urs was cracked?) but it definitely operates the way you describe it. i was just saying maybe the video isnt capturing the real sound. but...when i just tap the gas it just lets out a rush of air, i guess cuz it doesnt really build boost, remember this is the 3.6 pulley. so me tapping gas really quickly doesnt really get it into boost like that. thats what i meant by itll blow off when i really rev it, which was hard to hear from that clip.

It should be wide open at idle. Once you apply throttle it will begin to close. The more throttle applied the more it will close. Once you let off the throttle its fully open again.
Full throttle = fully closed
Partial throttle = partially open
No throttle = fully opened
The V2 with a 3.6 pulley should be making 7psi at about 6k-6500
So even with just giving it a quick mash on the gas you should still be hitting 1-2psi at about 3k and then the BOV should be releasing the unused portion once you let off which you should be able to hear.
Listen to this one,

LOL, thanks. It was due to the Stillen charge pipe. As boost built up and traveled through it it really made a roaring noise.
I do miss it at times....

oooohhhhh, see i asked around and no one had an answer. i figured as long as it was open a little it would be ok. so i need to go ahead and loosen the screw a lot more then? it needs to be open as much as possible?

Yes, it should be wide open to vent as much unused boost as possible.
Even when under a load, once you let off the throttle it should fully open to allow the unused boost to be released versus going back into the SCer.

What size dynomax is that stevn? Looks pretty small, 2.25? thats going to be the choke point of your exhaust system. If you aint got resonators or cats, it sounds normal like that (raspy), resonator is they key to getting rid of the rasp, but when money is good, upgrade to a 3" dynomax. OR you can run a cutout at the ypipe

its a 2.5 inch dynomax. the outlet looks small cuz the stock tip is welded on there lol. i have one resonator, a magnaflow, which is the one that budget sold me with their bpipe. i was just looking at different muffler options to change the sound of it, but im not really muffler savvy.

btw, i took your advice and vented it as much as possible (still only cracks about halfway, normal for a blitz?). and youre right, it does sound much different, in a better way. it doesnt have that bov sound that it had before, but i guess its function over form right?

Im sure the "BOV sound" wasnt actually coming from the BOV but from the blower, compressor surge.
