My '98 Sterling Mist

Hey guys, I have a few post here and there but I think its time to post pics of what I drive. This is my first car and I just lowered it and put 350z 17" rims on it. Still needs quite a bit of work to make it look better.

Looks nice. Alone, I don't really care for those wheels, but on the car they look great. Nice start.

Thanks, I originally wanted G35's but couldn't find a decent set around me and got a great deal on these so I bought them. I wasn't too crazy about them either but after I installed them with the drop, they grew on me.

Lowered on Ksport springs. I also have monroe struts up front (don't know how long they'll last) and OEM struts in the back that are nearing the end of their life.

KSport springs? You don't seem low enough for that drop. How long since you lowered it? Has it settled yet? What tire size you using? Just curious about the drop as I am interested in Ksport.

Yup, Ksports. It's lowered since about 2.5 to 3 weeks. I think the fronts are 225/50/17 not sure about the rears, but straight off a 350z. Would it have anything to do with the strut installation? I didn't install them in any specific way and the driver rear seems to be a little lower than the passenger rear. I dont know why...

^^^Strut install shouldn't really affect anything. Maybe it's just the angle of the pictures or something. It just looks a little higher than MROTH's. http://forums.maxima.org/members-rid...up-summer.html

Gonna stick with stock bumpers for sure, both front and rear are in terrible shape though. I definitely want/need a tint. As for the tail lights I want to take them apart and take the orange insert out and paint the reverse light and turn signal housings black.

Needs new fender:

Rock chips/Scraped front bumper:

Messed up paint and damaged compared to trunk lid:

idk about cali but i know cops are douchers here about tinted lights where i live in texas. ive gotten two tickets related to them so i got rid of them and ordered some of the "jdm" style (as ebay calls it). The ones with all red on top and all white on bottom, no amber. they would look clean on yours too. i'd say those tail, TINT, and at least a stillen, or other simple lip kit, and you are good.

like other people said, good start, just keep it clean!

maybe what really makes our cars or any car look lower is a lip and side skirt, cause if i were to walk by, it would seem dropped, but not like a noticable drop like we see on honda's or etc. for a 2 inch drop i expect lower, maybe it still needs to settle

I definitely like the feel of the ksports, even with the stock rear struts. It is stiffer, and freeway driving, depending on road condition, could get very rough but since I do the majority of my driving around the city, it doesn't bother me too much.

I expected the car to be lower but I don't know why it isn't, especially up front. Either way, the drop makes the car look WAY better, and I can take turns and such faster.
