I'm gonna go against the flow here and say that I don't think you need bigger rims. To me, those ones look just right on there. Bigger doesn't always mean better and this car is a great example of that. Rims look just fine the way they are. The car looks fantastic, everything you've done so far has really set it off. Very clean and it just seems to flow very nicely. The car has a nice stance, looks very aggressive but it isn't overkill. I'd say once you get those last few things installed you could pretty much be done with it as I don't see much of anything else you'd need to do with it, it already looks great.

Yeah BullyDog makes (or used to) the Power Pup but there isn't a noticeable gain. I advanced my timing 2 degrees, moved my Top Speed to 172 and increase my Rev Limit to 7100.

Thanks for the nice compliment.

Thanks Waxima, I don't plan on doing too much more to it and I think you're right about overkill (something i'm clearly trying to avoid). I appreciate the vote of confidence, this 20 inch club is a hard sell but again, I'd say if they saw the car in the flesh then they'd probably say it looks like a proportionate fit.

I like 20s too but I was just trying to stay near the stock ride feel for the road.

Jealous

I envy you man! Ive got the same ride and all I've managed to do so far is tint 20% all around. I'm too picky and indecisive to get the ball rolling on more mods. I'd really like to though! Where did you get your light tint kits from? I'm deciding whether to do it myself or just shelf out the dough but I don't want it to look cheap! Anyways, well done on your Max!

Thanks Bro,
Here's the link for the light tint kit:

Nice ride

The car really looks good. Nice roof spoiler. Keep 18's the car looks hot and the ride is still comfortable, for long trips.

Can you speak on the performance of the Bully Dog you have and what it can do for us? Thanks

Honestly speaking there isn't a big noticeable gain using the Power Pup and the odd thing about this is that BD hasn't even tried to improve the PP, they simply abandoned it and started making newer tuners.

I wouldn't recommend buying the PP for the obvious reasons (lack of gains) but moreso because BD doesn't seem to care about this tuner any longer and care even less about doing anything for Maximas.

I like, but I would definitely consider bigger rims; just too small

No, no updates, I'm giving the car to my wife and I'm looking forward to retirement and buying my Corvette (more than likely a Grand Sport Convertible) but I still love the Maxima (I have 3 of them 2K, 2K3 and the 2K9) so I will never be far from this forum.

How could one not love Maximas, they aren't always the most power/fastest cars but they are very reliable, stylish and pretty decent on gas mileage as well as being very well outfitted with goodies for the price.

sad to hear youre going into the corvette community (i'm not a fan of corvette's, nothing against you ). i have a love hate relationship with my 4th gen, the only thing that keeps me from getting rid of it is the peace of mind that it wont get stolen and that no one would buy a 300K mile car lol

Don't worry i'll be poking my head in the Max forum often because I love Maximas and I understand the love/hate relationships some Corvette owners tend to have with their cars, the same can be said of some of us here in the Maxima community.

I've always wanted a Vette since I was a kid and now that I'm retiring soon it is going to be a Retirement present for myself. Maximas rock though!

thats pretty cool that your going after you child hood car (lol, that sounds funny). i personally dont think the maxima's are that great, the motor is a good motor all around but the car (over all performance wise) is not :/. i'm glad your getting your vette after so many years, i'm hoping i'll get my "dream" car soon too. (pst, its an nsx)

The Vette isn't my dream car (that would be a convertible Aston Martin Vantage V8) but rather it is simply a car I've always wanted since I was a kid.

As far as the Maxima, I don't pretend with this car for it to be some kind of sports sedan (as in RWD or AWD over 350 to 400HP plus car made for the track) but for what it does it does it pretty well.

Nissan just doesn't do this car any justice by labeling it as a 4DSC.
