Looks very clean, congrats!

The beauty of a 5th gen Maxima is that even after owning one for years, you find that there are new things to enjoy that you never noticed before.

Hey sorry it's auto. It's a family car and my family doesn't like stick and I want everyone to enjoy the car too! I wish it were manual!

I would think there are more Chicagoian members. Yes tints are my first order of business, any local suggestions? Thanks guys!

Guys, this is a really good idea. However, for it to work new threads like this would have to be folded into the "Newbie Lounge". And that's kind of a moderator thing. A moderator would have to recognize the new thread, and... you know... moderate.

OP, awesome pick-up for a great price. Welcome to the Org.

just my little input.I have managed and installed a few forums and if you create a child topic under the main for introductions you wouldnet have to moderate it if you set the permissions correctly.example: main 5th Gen{child} Introductions. i know it works well with IPB board software

Again, that's a good idea. But who is going to intervene when a newbie creates an intro thread? The 5th gen forum needs active moderation the way Puppetmaster used to. He was good at it. Best we could hope for would be for the Newbie Lounge catch a majority of introductions, and the occasional "Hi Guys!" thread would just drift away after the forum self-moderates by telling the OP what to do.

On a somewhat on-topic note, seeing a loaded 5.5 SE TE w/84K get bought for only $6400... that's kind of depressing. Good for the new owner, to be sure, but depressing for the rest of us as our cars depreciate. Particularly for me, a member of the increasingly rare Original Owners Club.

and if veterans try and self moderate this place and suggest something to clean this place up, they are labeled as "mean" so its a lose lose

Your particular style of helpfulness seems to have been reasonably self-moderated so far.

I like the "New Member Introductions" sticky idea. See if you can make it happen.

Quick question guys. 00-01 tail lights fit the 03 correct? I'm looking to get the black ones for my 03. Found some on Certifit.com for $113 for the pair.

noooooooo.
if its a 00/01 se going into 02/03 se the harness is the same and a direct swap, if the tail lights didn't come with it just reuse your harness off your current tail lights

Where did you get the car at? I think I've seen it before.

Area where you took the pictures looks familiar too.
