Brett's Progress Thread

Since I've finally gotten access to a camera, I've spent the last few days snapping a few pics here and there. I figured I'd post up my progress so far (after a year of modding) so I can look back in a year and see how far I've gone since.

On with pics:

Sept. 11, 12, 2010 -

Constructive criticism on car/photography, of course, is welcome.

But before you go on about pointing out the flaws on my car, believe me, I know.

Trust me, I'm a fanatic about my car's exterior. I notice and freak out over minor imperfections that most "normal" people wouldn't notice.

Look out, someone just breathed on your car.

Better go wax it.

Painted lip will come when I've pieced the whole ground effects kit together. Might as well paint it all at once so it matches instead of one piece at a time IMO...

Clean car...only thing I don't like is the toad sticker on the front bumper, it draws too much attention to it.

I like the black lip on the white paint though...are you planning to finish off the kit at some point?

Thanks.

Somehow I knew a lot of people wouldn't like the mushroom sticker.

I'll leave it there for now and see where I go with the car.

I'm planning on finishing the kit, but not with Stillen's parts.

I'm looking at a set of Extreme Dimensions Evo5 skirts. And I don't know what I'll do for the rear yet. I'm not a huge fan of the Stillen rear piece.

Haha I am not sure if you are the one with the band-aid over the scratch on the rear bumper but maybe you could put that mushroom on the scratch to cover it up

And speaking of wax... I remembered the good old OCD days when I would wax my car so much that my hands became chemically fused with wax and my DNA was altered in a way that instead of secreting sweat from my hands it would SKEET wax and I would carry around a towel in my back pocket. And people always thought I was trying to be gangster but little did they know, it was to wax my car.

Wait, do what?

Yes, I have a bandaid in the middle of my rear bumper covering up a scratch from a hit and run that was done to me.

The mushroom stays, though.

They're beat to hell. I may strip and repaint them this spring if I don't end up buying a new set of wheels.

The car looks great and your pictures actually turned out pretty well.
Lose the mushroom and paint the lip....that would tighten it right up and move it away from the juvenile look.

That is the reason I am always so mellow and happy. And also you guys can take it literally when I say "I put all of myself into the car."

And seat covers are the least of it! You will need dash covers, floor mats, window covers, probably something to filter the air from the vents, and probably gloves, a full body suit, and lots of hand sanitizer. You see, my car deserves the best, and for the best you've gotta go and do things that are illegal in 49 states and Cuba.

By the way where do you find all these stickers? Have you thought about slapping on a Yoshi egg? Or one of those Mario Stars? LOL
