The end of the maxima road for me

I recently got a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 so I'm selling the max. I've previously had a 4th gen and 5.5gen and it's time to move on to newer things. The .org has been extremely helpful for the past few years and it'll be tough to move onto another forum. I'm sad that I never really finished my 5.5gen like I really wanted to

A little tribute to my past maximas.

4th gen

Altima coupe wheels
AE'd lights
buncha little stuff

5.5 gen

BC Coilovers
Wheel spacers
Magnaflow Rear section
Berk Intake
Rear Spoiler
Front Lip

New Car

Also picked up another new toy recently

bike = win
mazda = little getting used to...probably a fun little thing though. Maybe there's an aftermarket grille that would look good.

I honestly hate the way they redesigned the new ms3 front end. But it isnt a bad car and is pretty fast for the price. I dont think I woulda gotten rid of the max for it though. But good luck with it.

That bike is nice but that MS3 front end is terrible. Not a bad car overall though.

Those new Mazdas are some of the ugliest looking cars I have ever seen in my life.

However, I'd still drive a Mazdaspeed 3. That car can move.

If you havent already, hit up the mazda247 forums

I like the front end, well, obviously, I bought one similar. It takes some gettin used to, your on a Maxima forum, so mazda WILL get bashed a little. That car is so fun to drive, and it's the perfect modding platform. Plenty of aftermarket out there for it already...to bad they failed and kept the same motor as the previous gen...should have redesigned the 2.5L to go in like the N/A 3's

and you have to admit, the wheels are pretty nice for stockers

If you have been following the Mazda Concept cars you know that this is a direct effect of teh WIND concept but it just doesn't "flow" like the concept at all. Eiethr the wavy bumper needs to go or the big vent in the hood, but together it is jst too busy.

Other than that, you will love that car. For aFWD car it is pretty fun to drive and a sweet car for AutoX.
the Mazda Concepts

Yah, its too bad the front is a little weird. Hopefully sometime in the future someone will come out with an aftermarket bumper reshapes the grill area. As of right now tho it doesnt bother me, the car is way more fun to drive than the maxima.

The MS3 is terribly ugly but is a great performing car so gotta take the good with the bad, plus thats what the after-market is for.

The ONLY thing killing the front on the MS3 is the vent/flaps in the grill. Thats not like that on the N/A 3 and it shouldn't be on the Speed 3. WAY to busy. I also think the angle and reflections the camera got added to the business

so long fellow maximite, sad to see ya go. i never liked mazda's (only FC's & FD's), i guess when ford owned them i just saw mazda as a ford with a mazda emblem. quality sucked, but ever since ford drop them (or mazda) they have been coming up in quality and their name is getting a good rep now with out them. i'm just slowly accepting them as a "hey, i MAY consider a new mazda someday" lol...

Only question that comes to mind is what the hell were the designers thinking when they designed that front end.

Sorry to see another Tungsten Blue disappear off of the radar but congrats on the new rides. That Gixer should be a fun ride, sure it's not going to be as quick as other bikes, but it'll still out accelerate a Corvette. As for the 3 I've always liked Mazda's chassis. They handle beautifully and the motors always seem to be a little more powerful than they should be. Sure I loathe the look of a smiling car (IE the current Mazda line up and the Acura TL) but when the competition is seeing nothing but your taillights in the twisties it doesn't exactly matter does it?

BTW put me down for those wheel spacers.

In the same car class I might have gone for the cobalt SS over a MS3 (stouter bottom end and far better tuning options with a similarly amazing chassis). Regardless, the MS3 is a great option for the current selection of FWD turbo vehicles. Hope you enjoy it.
