Yes thats right Crusher has invaded the world of boost. I havent coined a good name for it yet "big black" is taken. im still trying to figure one out, But this is "it's" thread.

Ive yet to take pictures of the car(too cold and the car is dirty) but its been on the org for a long time. Its on a T4/T04E, at 9lbs. This is actually JAY25's old setup and lucky for me he happens to live not far from me so hopefully i can learn a few things from him. The kit was swapped from his car onto this one where it has been for the last couple of years. For now pics:

Plans for it? As far as the power, whats not broken doesnt need to be fix. The kit has been around for a long time and is still going strong. Only maintenance will be done to the motor. The car is pretty ridiculous, it barely gets traction in 3rd. I think a turbo rebuild in the next month or 2 will not be a bad idea, replace the piping, i might go to 3" but i will probably stay at 2.5 depending on the price, and fix the intercooler, its crooked.

Things in the immediate future will be first: a wideband. the car is tuned but this is the first non-factory boosted car i have ever come across that does not have a wideband. Second: wheels&tires, nothing crazy or expensive just cheap and easy with some width to them. Third: Coilovers, likely BCs.

AND go......

So you're the one who bought this car. Congratulations. Just out of curiosity, how is the ground clearance with the downpipe on this setup? Cannot wait to see how it turns out when you're done with it.

k looks like clutch and redesigning the y-pipe and downpipe setup is first things i have to do. They hang lower than the crossmember and thats just unacceptable.

That is why I asked you about the ground clearance. I have modified PFI kit on my 02 maxima and have the same issue. My car is lowered and the piping can't be more than 2 inches off the ground. Take lots of pictures of your progress. It's going to come out nice. Any plans on taking the rims from big black and putting them on this car?

I will take quite a few pics on what i do.gonna keep the turbo in the same spot just run the exhuast over top the crossmember inbetween the radiator and front of the motor(wrapped of course), then run the down pipe under the transmission with oval piping(this will be wrapped too), it will be directly underneath where the gears and etc sit. I think i can tuck everything and shorten the distance of the exhaust and turbo. So it will be ftw.

The turbo rebuild came up suspiciously fast thou, i must say. So that was orginally what i had planned to do, with a kit of this age. fortunately i found blast performance they said they can rebuild the turbo for alittle over $200 compared to the $765 turbonetics wanted

nice, that full t4 will pull for days (: i like it over the t3/t4 , give up some spool but when it makes power it flows very well .. i dont dont think you need to spend loot on the piping, my old car made 393whp on 2.5 inch piping. atleast not right away atleast. you also have a non ebay good core intercooler in there , crooked or not lol nice, man, put up a dyno, and a meth kit will allow you to tune w more aggressive timing if you want to squeeze more power.
