New Family Hauler and its a Ford

Decided to go for a 2011 edge. Just a SEL AWD with roof racks, Trailer hitch and my ford touch. The wait was long (ordered it the end of Sept.) but I am pretty impressed so far. Just washed, clayed and sealed the paint. Sorry but it was snowing when I took the pictures.

Looks good.

I've driven a few fully-loaded Edges. I'm actually really, really impressed by them. Good power and throttle response for a V6.

To the OP looks great! I'm was actually contemplating getting one of these for the next family car. I really like the looks of the Edge Sport, with the 3.7. The quality, and looks are really starting to go on the up and up for Ford.

Thanks for the comments. We needed a family vehicle and the new max was not it. I hate to say it the main reason for buying the edge was you can put 2car seats in the back and also sit another adult (inlaw) comfortabley unlike my 5th gen max. Also wife wanted AWD.

The SEL edge with the leather and glass roof is alot sharper but that would of been 6 more month of payments.

Have not figured out the gas milage yet. I have not driven it much (wife has). It is definately a highway vehicle. Really comfortable quiet and smooth. The engine and transmision work really well together. Step on the gas and it goes. Capable on the corners but does lean alot. My ford touch is really cool.

The chrome is not bad but I would like to paint the grill maybe flat black or the same body color. (Bordeux red reserve)

The Edge sport is cool but is not faster than the other models(def. handles better) because of the large wheels. Also the sport has the same bakes as the rest of the edge models.

Best thing about getting the edge - the next vehicle will be mine

They said that an analog tachometer wasn't fast enough for the revs of the LF-A. Is this true for the Edge?

No, not because it is too fast but not to leave out those drivers who like a linear tachonmeter guage.
