2003 GLE - All Iced Out

After a long night of sliding in snow covered parking lots (can't really call it drifting in a FWD car), I stopped on the way home to take a few pictures with my new camera and tripod.

The car took on its fair share of snow and ice from all the fun, hence the title.

I would have moved the car around a few times to get more angles but it was below 20 degrees out and after five minutes I couldn't feel my fingers enough to press the button to take pictures.

The car hasn't been washed since early November so it is filthy dirty. I won't be able to wash it until next weekend because of the body and paint work that's been done to it over the past two months.

I'm very new to car photography but it's something I really enjoy doing so comments and criticisms are very welcome.

Nice ride! Far as the pics go, I do like the last two which are closer to the car.... Drop on the car?

Thanks. Unfortunately, no drop on the car. It's sitting on stock suspension.

I've done tons of little things to it but no suspension, wheels, or major performance mods because of my budget.

Here's a crappy cell phone shot of the front end from about 3 weeks ago after the grille, headlights housings, and engine cover were painted.

Nothing too impressive as far as mods go, but in order as I can remember them:

G35 spoiler
Blacked out window trim
Blacked out door handles
Fog light rewire
00-01 SE tails
12" sub put in the trunk
AE'd the headlights
Painted grille black
Painted engine cover red with black letters (not done yet)
Ghetto air box

Once I get a decent amount of money together more towards the summer I plan on a drop, some simple, BBS-style split spoke rims, maybe tinting the windows, and installing a short-ram intake as well as a cat-back exhaust.

If you guys want to help me accelerate in my modding, you could take a look at this thread if you're having iPhone problems

This is my daily driver to and from school. Overall, my goal for this car is to keep it simple, clean, classy, and functional. I don't mod to get attention, I do mods that I think enhance the appearance and performance of the car without being impractical.

I do like the headlight mod! Pretty nice! Yeah I would definitely tint the windows bro. Looks better with the tint.

What sub and amp? I have Type R 12 being pushed by Memphis PR series amp.

I believe it's an old Kenwood, but I'm not even sure. My friend had it sitting around in his garage so he put it in for me. Unfortunately, it doesn't have an amp but it still sounds pretty good, especially considering the fact that it was free.

Definitely an upgrade over the Bose though, I like it.

No amp and the sub works? Hmm!
Free is a good thing.
