mad tyte Supra
so after everything, its still not running again
i got fed up and went to tear the ignition system apart, stupid new dizzy cap was cracked on the back where you cant see it. that was causing the problem all along. found the last new Japanese made cap in the city from a small Japanese parts store. threw it on and it ran way better
went for a long rip, got out of some turns and went to gun it after and saw the tach stall at 4k and thought WTF. engine quietly quit, coasted into a park and thought the dizzy got hot so i cooled it off for a hour, nothing. called a tow truck and a guy in a '78 Cressida came and talked for a bit in the meantime
have a new distributor but thats likely a winter thing because the axle seal has to be done as well. looking for a AE86 right now so i have something to bomb around in for the rest of the summer

so i ended up putting the distributor in months ago, still no spark at all
last possible thing it could be is the igniter/ignition module, of course its the hardest part to find on 1979's. 1979 Supra were Toyotas first EFI car, and for 1980 they completely changed the igniter. ive looked for months all around for a used one, nothing. its the only thing that could be bad giving no spark, and the original is on now so i wouldnt doubt it went bad
so now, we go with mad sparking powah

using this bish, i can bypass the igniter and i just have to put a tachometric relay on the fuel pump wire. it should run within the next 2 weeks
and i didnt buy a AE86, almost bought one but ended up driving down to Vegas instead
