The max was high mileage, things were breaking, and the (auto) tranny was slipping bad so I wanted to sell it before it crapped out on me.

gone:

so I bought this:

04 sentra spec V 6 speed w/ LSD - so far ive installed a nismo CAI, nismo catback, srs header, new oem nissan shift ****, redline tranny fluid, 2J racing turcite X shifter bushings, mach 1 front lip, tint, and got it repainted black.

Nice pickup. I always liked the original Spec V fascia...

...If I had the opportunity, I'd pick-up a '04-'06 Sepc V and swap earlier model fascia like this one.

Sad to see get rid of the Max but gratz on the B15. They are fun cars but quite a bit of a different car than the Maxima.

Can't wait to see what you do with it.

I loved my maxima, but this thing is pretty nice too. The interior sucks and there is more wind noise but it handles very well, I took it to the mountains and the steering is very very neutral and its actually very quick and gets very good mpgs! I plan on adding the brembos and cams and stuff to get it around 180whp, maybe coilovers and wheels too.

if you get the money you should go for the G35, its basically a 2door RWD maixma. Is there anything better then that??

I do LOVE g's but theyre very heavy and a ***** to work on. I'd rather get a sr'd 240sx as its already boosted, lighter chassis, and 4 cylinders are MUCH easier to work on.

I love nissans and try to stay in the family as much as possible. With such a good selection of cars I dont see a reason to switch any time soon.

Not bad, not really feeling the mach1 lip doesn't look bad but just not feeling it...

+1, I think this is the best looking gen sentra. I'm getting tired of my 4th gen, I may look into getting one of these...

The lip took a while for it to grow on me, but being limited with zero lip choices out there I tried it out and ended up liking it a lot. I never thought I'd own a sentra, but if you drove a spec V you'd fall in love. It drives just awesome. They only weigh 2500lbs and the car handles great even stock and is faster than a 4th or 5th gen stock as well. These sentra's just dont look as nice inside or out and have a bad rep for some unknown reason.

After looking at it some more it looks good, these are still better looking than the current gen that's out. What motor do fuses come with, the same one that's in the 4 cyl altima?...

I went the other way, haha. SE-R to Maxima. Looks good though. They are fun cars, and the mod list has quadrupled since the 3.5 swaps started. I was a Vboard vet back in the day, but barely visit the multitude of Sentra forums these days.
