Hey guys. My friend has an evo and when I look at it, it just seems so much more than a typical sedan. I mean obviously it is turbo'd but the hood vents and **** make it look so much sportier. Anyone know any good- NON rice fenders?

Fenders with vents = rice. There's no way around that.

you just de-riced it! what the hell you thinking re-ricing it!

bbk = no rice, more stopping powa, better looks, and i doubt you'll push um to the point of fade...

edit: i mention bbk because you mention more flow in the fenders... i.e. brake cooling, so i went with that. thought id clarify for ya.

Lol! Yeah brake cooling, thats what I meant. Atent they like 2/3 k though? It sucks the extreme dimensions is rice. Wish they had some aggressive ones without such over the top designs

dude, 300zx bbk could be had for like 400... I believe someone is even selling a complete wilwood kit right now. Theres write ups in the 4th gen section on all your options. you could get autozone/ebay/craigslist parts for everything accept the brackets and only spend like 600...

plus, any extra lines to the side, i feel, take away from the sexiness that is the 4th gen!

The white wheels are definitely a bold love it or hate it look, im thinking it would look better with more white accents. Maybe white tails instead of black, they arent as common and would tie in the wheels a little better.

Hopefully you're trying to say red/clears.

Last i checked white was not even close to red. And that would be clear with a white housing behind. Not many people at all have done it, and it would tie in with the wheels.

I agree with the love it or hate it statement. The worst that happens is I decide I don't like white anymore and murder out the car (Which I will probably end up doing once I lower it). Changing drastic things such as the actually paint on the car, I would not do because it is real paint and not just spray paint like the rims. I do like your way of thinking though, very outside of the body IMO.

White tails would look stupid... although I'm against tinted tails, if you pull off what flava did and black out the red and leave the clear alone, it'd look good. Plus the clear bumper lights n get fogs like I said above. Don't murder it please...

Oh Jeeze, quit trying to be "different" with parts that people don't want to put on their cars. There's a reason why people don't do or put certain parts on their cars. If u want to be different you will have to do custom work (since the aftermarket for our cars isn't much)...

Um, go on any car forum and tell me if everyone's cars look completely different. I'm not saying its a good thing but there's usually a reason for it and that's just how it is.

I guess, but someone has to break the mold once in a while. This is why I was confused as to why everyone kept telling to to get Red clears. Almost every car on here has them and it was just be another car to blend in with the rest. Not saying that they are bad, cos 98% of them look better than mine. I think its good to be different and not have your creativity crippled by someone holding you back

But thats just me. Not trying to start an argument.

Those tails aren't creative at all though lol Back in the day, tons of people had them. They were quite popular but that fad is long gone. That was creative ten years ago.

Its not creative if everyone does it, thats why its called a fad. Considering I have them when no one does anymore, makes it creative. I don't follow fads.

You're not seeing my point lol Those tails aren't creative. They're far from the "norm" now but that's about it. Different =/= creative. You'll learn young grasshopper.

lol, flava had um. painted white too... I had um on my white max. my buddy has um on his red 99 sel and some other black stuff to tie um in. actually looks good. Jarrod had um. im sure the list is a mile long. they are almost all gone now.

red clears are probably on 33% of the 97-99's out there, and 10% of all 95-96's out there... so what do you do to make yourself unlike all the others... LED's! Id probably guess 5% of the red clear guys 97-99 have led'd tails, and 1% of 95-96 guys have it... If you want to be original, custom led those skyline tails...

now you keep your old school creative/fad design tails, and become the 1%...

I shall be the first to have LED'd David L's and the only projector retro reverse light runner. Creativity FTW.

I've never seen altezzas LED'd. I bet he'd be the first and only one. That's creative.

Except his won't bulge out and it'll be completely custom. Those GenII's are plain ugly. His look decent at least since they're painted.

How would one go about -

Not sure if its Really cool or REALLY ugly. I'd move the reverse lights to the bottom of the bumpers.

Also, what is up with people wanting to convert maximas to skyline?

I cannot see any similarities except for the fact that they are both by nissan and both have 4 wheels. There body styles don't even seem similar....

My car doesn't look like anyone else's on this site, its just stock lowered and has wheels. That simple and it stands out plus it doesnt have cheap tacky tail lights :/

Being "creative" or trying to be "different" doesn't necessarily mean it'll be a good thing :/

That makes no sense. So if I don't know how to do something let's rule it out, it's called learning lol. Just curious though. How would they do that?

Metal work as well as fiberglass n other body work plus custom rewire. I'd guess anywhere from 1000-1500 worth of work minimum. And you gotta find the tails... not exactly a usdm part

If you're thinking the three rows that were lit in pics, those were stock tails made for someone else.
