98 maxima. Black N' White

Whats good guys! I decided to start a new thread cause the one I had in "4th Gen" section wasn't really the right place.

Anyway, my car had been stirring up some controversy "Rice or not" and here it is.

To be honest, I really like it the way it is (Minus the height, it needs a drop).

Everyone is telling me to get red clears and stock rims, ect, ect. I get it. It makes the car look like a clean maxima, but whats wrong with doing your own thing? I love my maxima because it isn't like any others I've seen, and because it is different. Shouldn't that be applauded, even if its not your taste? To support creativity.

Some say its riced, but I don't see what is besides the height. No spoiler, the windshield banner was pure style on my part, it had NOTHING to do with "Making it look fast". If I supported that I would have kept the spoiler, right?

Anyway, sorry for the rant, I just want to cover my ****!

Glad to see you like it! I saw a max with the bright clear altezza's on this forum, it was a dude who had the max with the mitsubishi Galant spoiler, and it even looked sick on that. I guess if you can make it flow and make it your own, you should be happy with it.

I like the white wheels but they're so damn sunk lol If you were to flush them out, they'd look a lot better. The drop will come eventually I'm sure.

I dont see anything to hate on. It looks decent. I would definately lower it, tint it and remove the decals off the windshield. Other than that it looks good. Different, but good.

Edit:
A spoiler on a Maxima is for nothing but looks, as it doesnt need any down force in the rear. So if anything, if you were looking to ultimate performance on a Maxima, removing the rear spoiler would be the right choice.

You go way overboard trying to defend yourself. Shut up and mod your car how you want to. There will be people that aren't going to like your car, accept it. If not, don't post pics.

/\ This. You're trying way too hard to "fit" in. Personally, your mods aren't my style, but who cares what I think.

Hate wasn't bothering me. I was just getting straight that I like the way the tails are, because i knew people were going to tell me to change them. I just said it to stop them before they even wasted their time saying it.

I agree with the "stop defending yourself" comments. I understand where you're coming from because people have strong negative opinions about my car too. But I usually just say "thanks" and keep it moving.

I personally don't like the tails and of course it desperately needs to be lowered. It's fine otherwise. Keem had those wheels before his current set of rotas. What are the specs on yours?

Yea I hear you man lets just end it here.

Anyway, I have no idea what the wheels are. Is there a way to check via the tire? I've looked online to get more specs on the rim but I haven't had any luck finding them!

It looks like the tires may be too small of a size...but it's hard to say. What size are they?

And I like the white, makes it stand out. Other than a drop, and maybe proper size tires, it dig it.

On the back of the rim on one of the spokes, it should say. Unless it was a sticker that was painted over when the wheels where painted white. What does the tire say?

Damn dude good eye! I asked the guy I bought em from and he said he didn't remember the name, I went back to check the ad and it was gone so I never go the name of them. I think you are right though.

Just curious, why would it say R1 racing on the center caps? I am nearly 99% Positive that these are Racing harts, or are they the same company.

I think they're knockoffs of those. Don't the Racinghart's actually say "RACINGHART" on one of the spokes?

Could any one reccomend a good pair of 18's? Incase I go down the beach this summer I want to have a wheel with more tire, for now these rims are just used for cruising locally.

I was told that OEM rims are MUCH stronger, so maybe I will get some OEM 18's

If I had to go with OEM 18's, I'd go with G35C's or 350Z AE's.

I don't mind the look of the car at all actually...minus the tails. Those are ugly to me on any car, no matter the make/model. I have white rims on my white maxima during the winter months, and I'm happy with how it looks.

Those are the only two OEM wheels I'd rock as well.

G35Cs on your 4th gen w/o a doubt...run a 245/40/18, itll be good...you can even run a 45 series since you're an advocate of 4x4 right now lol

chrome bumper lights and add fogs... helps the white not stand out so much. plus those bumper lights are illegal/dangerous...

also, white interior leds would help pull the theme off... after a black interior swap... just sayen...

Thanks man!

I've got to go back to MAACO tomorrow. Guess who got side swiped!!!!!!

Someone was backing out and tore up the paint, and the paint on the tail lights.

Ruined my day until I finally contacted the kids mom (Since it was a younger dude) and she said they would cover it! I mean obviously the would, right.
