Getting ducts where the fog lights go to direct air into the ICs, I have some corner lights already just got to mod them to make them fit with those huge sidemounts being in the way.

Those wheels are staying they look great on this car, way better then they looked on the maxima and way better then the wheels the car came on. I've gotten lots of compliments on the wheels as well, maybe the pics don't do them justice but I love how they look. Most Z's are riding around on stockers, 350z wheels, or some hellaflush type wheels (bbs, xxr, etc) I'm going for a different look. Plus the open design of the wheels cools off the brakes better which get hot real quick stopping this heavy *** car at high speeds. The original stockers were designed to cool the wheels as well because of this.

Im sure Nissan tought of that when they put the fog lights there... They do spend millions of dollars in R&D....

My Godspeed SMICs are twice (if not more) the size of the stock ICs thus the reason my corner lights won't fit correctly. I decided I didn't want the fog lights so I took them off and want to get ducts eventually to direct more air to the ICs. There are vents in the bottom of the bumper to direct air to the ICs but while that may be sufficient for stock I can assure you that its not the most effective. Nissan didn't build the car for maximum performance and they didn't build the car for what I have planned for it either

Over the weekend I installed my Greddy boost gauge and found out that I was only boosting 5 PSI. Today my Hallman Pro Kit Boost Controller came in the mail. After a few runs I got it turned up to 11 PSI and it seems I'm hitting boost sooner and quicker! Car is a blast to drive even hit a couple PSI in first and every gear after I'm hitting 10-11 PSI pretty easily.

I don't plan on turning it up any further till I install my wideband.

Yea I need to take better pics too, I got the bumper aligned better now and have added the corner lights. I need to get one of those gopro video cameras or something so I can take a badass vid!

Threw on some 10mm spacers and installed the 300degree gauge cluster din mount I ordered from Z1.

Don't mind around the radio I didn't install some of the trim pieces yet. Under the gauges the PO tried to cover the clock with some type of black material that chipped off as can be seen. I'll be installing the turbo timer or an EBC down there in the future. I also still need another gauge, I'm thinking of installing another wideband for the passenger side exhaust.

Changed oil and replaced spark plugs with one step colder ones. Boost is at 14 psi now!

Installed the AEM Uego wideband today finally. Afr's look as such:

Idle: High 12s, low 13s
Light throttle: mid-high 14s, low 15s (normal?)
WOT (not in boost): 12s, 13s
Boost (5-14 PSI): starts off around mid-low 11s and down to low 10s

idle can be a little leaner ideal is 14.7-15.0, light throttle is perfect and WOT is the ideal safe tune

Yes this is what I have found and a bit rich in boost for a stock turbo vehicle with lower compression but it's a box tune so I understand, for boost afr should be in 11s I have found. Everything seems to make sense to me except in 5th gear.

In 5th gear, the afr seems to be behind as if lagging. When cruising on the highway in 5th at light throttle the afr is around high 14s as soon as I punch it the boost jumps to about 5-6psi and the afr drops to around 12s then it rises to 14s for a sec and starts dropping while the boost is rising up to around 13-14psi the afr drops to mid-low 12s and then slowly down to 11s as long as I stay holding full boost (~14psi) but I have to hold boost for it to start dropping. I'm not sure why it does this, and it only does this in 5th. In 2nd, third, and fourth as soon as I hit boost it drops down to 10s-11s. Is this okay?

Am I missing something when it comes 5th or is this ok? Any insight is appreciated.

Ok went for some runs today, I was able to confirm that 1st is perfectly fine. Before I had been unconsciously taking my foot off the throttle to about half way when at high rpms in first (I guess in fear of hitting the rev limiter, idk haha). I also noticed that every time I looked down at the gauge my foot was automatically coming off the throttle (another mental safety switch in my head haha) so that's what also was giving me some funny readings.

I wasn't able to check out 5th but I need to find some type of way to log with the AEM UEGO because looking down on it while boosting is not safe. I'm thinking of getting an AEM FIC but I'm not sure how effective it is on a Z32 yet.

Doesn't look as complicated as the Emanage was honestly. To me its like in between an emanage and an afc.

Just updating my progress. I did some things here and there over the past couple months: added a spoiler, bigger injectors, painted VCs and plenum while replacing all gaskets, etc. Also, installed an AEM FIC, did some maintenance, and other little minor suspension work.

And I just refinished and threw on these Enkei RP01s this past week....Enjoy...

Post i30 project

I'd like to gut my 99 i30 and turn it into a sleeper. I want to put the Rb20de out of the skyline and turbo it along with a Manuel trans and run it to a modified rear end from the g37.

I have a few concerns if that engine would even fit or if their would be a better engine for my project.

Any suggestions or thoughts?
