Oh, it's not about the decision, but the convenience. They took about a week to do mine, so having a spare kept me rolling in the interim. My bodyman is a little slow, but he also had to special order some sort of basecoat for high heat plastic applications, and that added a couple days to spray & cure.

Color-matched UIM draws a lot of ooh's and aaah's - definitely no going back!

Installed my EuroPerf wheel skin last night (http://www.dccarcare.com/whlskns.html):

Feels so much nicer in the hands than with those extra fat ones from the parts store. It came direct from wheelskins dot com, but it's almost half as much from the above site.

Pic of my Injen CAI coming soon...

car's looking legit bro! hey i have a question about the SE gauges.. did you have to pull off the needles when you changed them or did you just get a new cluster and solder on the mileage chip?

Thanks for the kudos. For my particular car, I got a new cluster and swapped out the mileage chip. However, there's 2 types of gauges (and they're not interchangeable).

For the 2000 and some 2001's, the gauge cluser has removable gauge pods, so you can just unscrew each gauge and replace them with the SE type without the need to remove the needles. These are easily spottable because each gauge has small screws on either side of the needle base.

The later 2001's have a single-piece gauge cluser that you solder in your old mileage chip - you will have to go through the painstaking process of taking it apart, removing the gauge needles, and either swapping out the chip or the uni-gauge plastic insert. (You have to take it apart to access the chip).

Like I said, they're not interchangeable. If you have the later style and intend on just swapping out the mileage chip, you need to make sure it comes from a car with the same options as yours, such as traction control.

If you have the earlier model, I have a set of gauge pods. If you're interested, shoot me a pm.
