My other project car: 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT

Hey everyone! I wanted to post the other project car that I've been spending time with for a bit. She's a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT with a 5spd and she's pretty much straight out of the mid-2000s

When I first got the Eclipse, she had a RIPP Mods SDS, most likely stage 2 with meth injection. I still have these parts in my grandparent's shop since we had to take them out to rebuild the engine. 2 Cylinders had cracked and was causing driveability issues. The Vortech supercharger might've also been damaged due to an oil feed line bursting. I am planning on using it again after I've worked out everything else on the Eclipse and secure a 3.8L 6g75 to build up. I've heard that the SDS could also be used in the Maximas, though I'm not quite sure if my 300k+ mile I30 could handle that without a rebuild

Anyways, I will be posting more pics soon since I do only have these two at the moment. I might add a link if I post more pictures.

Current list of mods:
Lowering springs
Godspeed Project Coilovers
03+ Taillights
Depo black projectors with Sylvania LED Sylvania Silverstar Ultra lows and Halogen highs (Sylvania LED are decent at best, but my I30's Sylvania ZXE 9004 are a lot brighter so I switched back for the time being. Might look into GTR Ultra 2's)
RIPP Long Tube Catless Headers with Main Cat delete and Apexi N1 Muffler
Smoked front turn signal housings (not pictured above)
Full leather interior swap. (Previously had cloth)
17x7 or 17x7.5 rims on 215/45 front, 215/55 rear. (I will most likely check soon on those rims soon as I keep forgetting but these used to be on my I30 at some point. I Will be getting new ones bc the front tires have no traction.)
Kenwood KMM-BT525HD head unit with OEM 95-99 Maxima foldout DIN pocket.

List of events:
Sept '19 to March '20 - First startup after 5 years. Check all of the belts and such.
Nov '20 to Dec '20 - Rebuild of engine and removal of RIPP SDS.
Jan '21 to Feb '21 - NGK spark plug wires, Denso Iridium TT spark plugs, brand new distributor cap, and rotor, junkyard distributor. First oil change after rebuild ~700 miles
Mar '21 - Godspeed Coilovers installed and aligned. Front bearings replaced. Original stereo installed with all original Infinity speakers. Battery ground replaced. Grounding kit added.
Apr '21 - Oil change (Castrol Edge 10w-30), P0400 EGR code fixed, Kenwood KMM-BT525HD installed

Current Issues/To do:
P0400 - I'm not entirely sure why this is triggering, maybe from the headers missing the EGR port. I do not have anything on the EGR port but I did find a thread for this on Club3G. Will probably fix it when I do a Diamante intake swap.
P0421 - Pretty obvious for the reason, not concerned about it. (Seems only for colder days. Spring is rolling around and code stopped appearing)
Lean and Rich codes - Most likely due to my long tube catless headers. Got a co-worker who may be able to tune the car. I've gotten mixed results in terms of searching forums for actually tuning the 2000 year Eclipses. Seems 2001+ is a definite yes for tuning but 2000 is a bit difficult. (Turned out to be all 6 injectors. All smelled of stale gasoline and had a lot of gunk on the fuel rail side.)
Cruise Control - Does not light up with ignition on. The reason is unknown, a nice to have but not too concerned about it. (Might be the cruise control switch on the steering wheel. The cruise computer does not recognize any input from the switch and no codes were found in the cruise computer.)
Paint - Yeah, 5 years will do that without a wash. Full respray in the original color, most likely after my I30
Spoiler - The hooks on the car are from the previous owner. I don't believe he has it anymore so I will be removing those when I get the paint done.
Brakes - As suggested by a member of Club3G, I may start looking into options here. Will have to do more research, but seems like a great idea. Evo 8/9 Brembos are what they are recommending
Suspension - There seems to be something causing excessive camber on the passenger side. I've had to max out the camber plate on the coil overs to compensate. I'll have to look into this since nothing seemed to be damaged.

Got an update from today on my Eclipse. The P0400 code has been resolved and it turned out to be the stupid EGR Solenoid for the 4th time. Found one of the spares I picked up from the junkyard a while ago and swapped it in after finishing my oil change. What's weird is that P0400 isn't a listed DTC in the FSM and previously if the EGR solenoid was the issue, it would be a P0403 code.

Installed a new head unit for the Eclipse. Nothing too exciting as I am borrowing it from one of my other cars. Works great and sounds a lot better than the original Infinity head unit.

For the pocket under, I used a fold-out din pocket from a 95-99 Maxima since my dad had one lying around from his Maxima when he used to have it. Fit nicely, although only two of the four screws lined up with the bracket, but better than just an open hole into the dash.
