Newbie DOooBy DOOOoooo!!!!

Hey everyone, my name is Chase, I reside in Williamsboro, NC. I am 28 years old, and just bought a 1998 Maxima GXE(i'm guessing GXE by the trim level guides, some idiot shaved all the emblems). I bought it off a used car lot for what I assume is a good deal. The dealer was asking $3200 cash, I talked him down to $2400, and then their doc fees, tax, tags and title deal, came out to $2900. It is a 5 speed manual, pretty nice sounding muffler(first fart can i've seen that looked and sounded good), some cruddy chrome wheels(planning on replacing them with some newer altima or maxima wheels), aftermarket headlights and bumper lights, well here, i'll just post a few pictures....

This thing sucks major *****, the dealer was supposed to give me a more practical ****, but after I beat him down on the price, he almost wanted to take the stereo out of it.

I was going to buy a generic ball **** today from Advance Auto, but when I pulled this one off, I found that someone either cut the stock shifter down or ground the threads off. So, if anyone has an old short throw shifter laying around and a decent ****, let me know. I'll be posting in the WTB section as well.
Since I got such a good deal on the car, I figured on fixing a few things. So far: had the front tires balanced, discovering a wheel stud on the right rear was sheared clean off, and another on one of the front wheels stripped, picked up two new studs; the cv boot on the driver side is ripped, but still has grease and no issues out of it yet; the shocks in the rear could stand to be replaced, so i'll probably go ahead and lower it all the way around; the front bumper isn't lined up properly, knew that when I bought it, and its not that big a deal. Some of the interior trim needs to be tightened down, but for the most part the inside is like new. This is getting long winded, so i'll go find something else to do. I really wish it weren't raining so I could get some work in on this thing.
