New owner of 5th gen

Hey guys,

I just became an owner of a 2000 maxima se. Been wanting one for a while. Well I wanted a 02-03 for the 3.5l but 3.0 is good. I'm ready to get the upgrades on this. Hoping to get advice and tech help during my SE transformation.

Congrats on the car, and welcome aboard. You're in the right place.

And dont be down on yourself for not finding a good 3.5....because the vq30dek is actually an overall better, smoother, and more refined motor.

Sure its not as fast as vq35...but from a reliability standpoint and smoothness that engine is better. Plus, if you ever decide to go forced induction, we have a supercharger kit made for our engines, the vq35 doesnt..

You should do some searching, ask questions along the way and represent for the 3.0 maxi-pads!
