Just acquired a 98 Max (don't know which model, title says 'MG'), my first Datsun/Nissan of any sort. It has 259k and 5-spd and one ding in the passenger rear quarter panel. So I will be on the site off and on looking for answers for one thing or another.

 

Welcome! One important item for 5-spd owners is to use a transmission lubricant that is a GL4 for transmissions. I'm on my 2nd 4th gen with a 5-spd. Changing the transmission lube to a good GL4 always help smooth out shifting and keeps from unnecessarily wearing out the synchros.
