Hey my name is Daniel kitchen I just bought a 2000 Nissan maxima and I have a wife and three kids and I really need the heat working. Any ideas or things that go wrong commonly with the 5 th generation?

 

The most common is that the coolant level in the radiator is low. It doesn't have to be very low for not heat and the car engine temperature is unaffected. When the engine is cold, remove the radiator cap and look at the coolant level. The radiator should be completely full, no air space at all.

FYI - for future reference, don't post problems like this here. Use the main 5th generation section. This section is for introductions and isn't looked at by as many people as often, so answers will be slower in coming.
