low oil pressure issues with VQ30DE

Hi guys,
Thrilled to be here! First thread post.
I own a 01 maxima anniversary edition.
I am experiencing low oil pressure when I turn the ignition on and it goes away after that.
I replaced the oil pressure switch and it is still an issue.
Want to see if anyone else had an issue like that with their VQ30DE.
Before I take the car to the dealership for a diagnostic check, I would like to get to know some past experiences you guys had.
thanks in advance!

Gurpreet.

any timing chain noise at startup?

or do you mean the oil pressure light comes on very briefly at startup? thats normal because for a split second after startup the engine has low oil pressure until it builds up

Hi! There is no timing chain noise at all
Yes exeactly the light comes in briefly for 2-4 seconds Max and turns off.
That's a relief if it is not an major issue.
Plus the engine has around 280k kms on it.

Thanks again for the reply.

2-4 seconds is a tad longer than normal, might be the oil pump a bit worn or excessive bearing clearances but with 280,000km and running fine after startup i wouldnt really worry

Chrome91 thank you for that!

I'm going to post another thread to see what kind of suspension setup and aftermarket parts fellow owners are using. (As this is my first car and tune).
