Back again
Back again
Well after a short hiatus with a 2015 Ford SHO, I am back with a new 2016 QX3 SR. While the SHO was a nice vehicle with all the bells and whistles, the build quality of recent production Ford Vehicles leave something to be desired.
First was my wife's 2014 Explorer Limited, leather wearing out drivers seat, multiple squeaks, rattles, and noises for all over the cabin. All of that with only 25K on it.
Then my 2105 SHO with only 9K on the odometer, I had rattles from the dash, area that seemed endless. Always from a different area, and were non stop. I can handle a few noises, but I had a 67 Ford Fairlane, that has less interior noises than this one.
The stereo was also a weak point, Sony and all. Was never really that loud, and with the IPOD playing, if the windows were down, you couldn't hear it unless it was turned up all the way.
Anyway, I looked at the 2016 Max's when they first started showing up and they really didn't do much for me, I had a 2011 Max SV Sport at the time and had considered trading it for one since it the mileage was up there, and I didn't have the Tech package. My 2011 was flawless from day one, and I honestly still miss it. It went by the wayside for the SHO.
Well the other day, I was piddling around a dealer and Pearl White QX3 Max SR caught my eye. Took it for a little test drive, and it came home with me that night. So far I am very impressed with the "16. While the ride is a tad more firm than my "11, its handling an feel are far superior. Gas mileage is outstanding and I couldn't be happier. I don't plan on letting this one go.
So I am back and will probably be around a while. Have a good one and "Hello again from Texas"
