Hi I'm brent

I have a 2005 Nissan Maxima 3.5sl it was given code po770 so I put a vaulve body in it and now it is giving code for torqe converter clutch switch. But it you take off battery cables it runs perfect for a while till code kicks on. Can anybody help me fig out witch one it is and what to do please.

It is giving codes p0740 now but was giving code p0770

Both of those DTCs identify a couple/few identical common causes. Have you made sure those have been addressed?

Also, you’ve stated that you’ve replaced the VB. I’m assuming with a used/salvaged unit?

Those DTCs don’t indicate a failed/failing VB. They indicate a failed/failing shift solenoid.

Perhaps some diagnoses related to the individual shift solenoid indicated by the DTC would be appropriate.
