New owner of old high mileage Maxima
New owner of old high mileage Maxima
Hi, just bought a 2011 Maxima SV with 164k miles. Was told it's a Platinum edition but haven't seen that listed as a real model, maybe it's just a trim package?
Live in Buford, GA, and bought the car for our teenage sons.
Also have a 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport and a 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona RT
The Maxima has lots of little issues but seems to be in fairly good condition overall. Interior looks great, some control buttons don't work consistently (windows, locks, seats, shades). But we'll see if we can fix them as part of teaching our sons troubleshooting and repair.
Outside has a few dents and scratches but looks good overall.
Engine and transmission seem strong, but there is a bearing making noise. Brakes and suspension appear to be in good shape too.
I've always liked Nissans but this is the first I've owned. Hoping it's as easy to work on as the Hondas and Toyotas I've previously owned. We'll see how it goes over the next few years.
