How To Install An Ecu????

i planning on buying one from someone on this board at a GREAT PRICE so that my engine light won't come on when done with conversion. Its from a 97 maxima i believe, not quite sure. But he said it takes 10 minutes for him to do which means about an hour and a half for me

is there anywhere i can get good instructions on how to install? I did research on the board and couldn't find anything on install (yea clee and jeff and mzmtg, i finally took your advice) but i found something on different year ecu's probably conflicting with each other or something. There was one thread where someone tried to put 96 ECU in his 98 and was worried about sensors causing engine light to come on since the 96 oxy sensors are located a little different from the 98...SOMETHING LIKE THAT....

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ht=install+ecu

i just want to know if i'll experience any OTHER problems buying this ECU and how to install. Thanks all

You'll get a Check Engine Light from a 97 ECU in your 95.

You need to get the same year...and transmission...and Fed/Cali spec...
