Autozone is where most people seem to get their hood struts replaced. I went there and ordered the pair a few months ago. They had the struts in the next day. Installation is really simple I think they even come with instructions if your not sure how to do it. My hood stays open from half way to all the way up. They are of good quality. Here's the link

Try carparts.com . My struts give out when the wind blows on the hood to hard so I'm about to order some as well.

Another reason the hood doesn't stay up is when it's cold outside. For some reason cold air prevents the struts from holding up the hood...

I've heard that aftermarket hood struts wear out quickly, so I keep an old putter in the trunk, it works perfectly.

I heard quite the opposite, my friend replaced his on a 95 Mitsu GSX and they're still working, and he used his hatch a lot to show off his system. i'm not sure where he got his though, maybe even autozone, or R + S Strauss but they're definitely not the ones from the dealer.

They are around $16.50 at Advanced Auto. If you want, ask sloppymax for an exact quote.

Yeah, me too. I've even got my stick painted white to match the car.
