if your non bose audio system picks up engine noise
if your non bose audio system picks up engine noise
I recently put in a new radio and only made one change during the install
the wire that is for the system control terminal of the amp/auto antenna relay control terminal which is blue/white from the radio wiring harness connects to the system remote control wire from the aftermarket wiring harness
while connecting the two wires the wire terminal connector that I had put on one end kept falling off....it was my last one and I didn't feel like driving to the store just for one dang terminal connector
sooo in essence to keep them on I put electrical tape around the wire and both connectors and made sure all wire was covered
and now there is no more engine noise
prior to the electrical tape fix I had an aiwa mp3 headunit and I now have a pioneer hu
Since the pioneer cost LESS than the aiwa but is much better quality...I'm not going to assume that the whine stopped because i got a better albiet cheaper radio because there are MANY of you who have headunits that cost more than my tires
so if you have the time.....pull out your radio and wrap some tape around those two wires.....won't hurt to try!!
I've been driving around for two days with no noise....after having the noise for a year, its a relief to no longer have it
hope like he1l this works for everyone

I have a variation of this (Pioneer EQ + RF amp) and although it took some trial and error with the power wire of the amp and the EQ's system remote wire, I found that connecting all 3 gave it the best sound. However, I was unable to elminate the engine noise. =( Maybe thats bc of the amp.
