I kno u alot of u guys have already went through wit this and heard this question asked a million times but i'm a newbie to the board.....ijust want to get rid of the chrome handles and the trim around the window....whutz the quickest way to do it and so it doesn't look so cheap....sum1 on hear said vinyl tape but when i went to pep boys...they only vinyl tape that waz close to my "gold" colored '97 gxe wuz sum brown lookin tape....what else can i do to make it match my car....or does sum1 kno where i can go to actually find sum vinyl tape to match the car's color....and also for the silver window trim....i also scratched my bumper up a lil, is there like a paint code i can look at and kno exaclty what kind of touch up paint i need?

 

Welcome. #1 learn how to type. Stop all that 'waz' crap. #2 it isn't easy/cheap. I had to have my handles painted. I don't know of any vynal you can just stick over your handles and it will match/look good. I also had to have my trim painted. I went body color, didn't like it and then bougt SE trim for over $500. You might be able to just paint it with a rubberized black spray paint. So, in conclusion, I think you can black out your trim on your own but you'll need a profesional to paint your handles.
