Tire bubbles...how bad are they really??

ok guys...i bout some Toyo Proxys {i now know..NOT THE BEST CHOICE!!!} about 2 years ago now and they have developed a couple bubbles and i am kinda worried about them taking a dump on me if i dont change them soon...how likely are they really to die on me considering they havent yet?

Bubbles are never good. I would change them out ASAP. That is unless you want to have a possible blowout doing 80, then it's up to you.

The integrity of the tires has been compromised. Air is leaking past the inner carcass and forming the "bubble" just underneath the outer rubber skin. Agreed, get rid of them ASAP. If you bought them new, check your paperwork for manufacturing defects warranty.

It will blow out, it's just a question of when... it could be on a bump at crawling speed or doing 90 on the highway. Get it replaced ASAP. I know it sucks, just happened to me a couple of weeks ago, but you have to replace the tire.

My opinion is the same as everyone elses, get it changed now!!! MY dad had a small bubble that just appeared. We were going to Sears to get it replaced but it blew out before we got there. We were lucky cause we didn't go on the highway and were doing only 30 when it blew out.
Good Luck,
Paul

once upon a time...there was a brother name yellow...he was driving his sister's 93 toyota camry on a 100 mile trip to visit his folks...he drove a good 90 miles then he stopped at a stop light...proceeded to go when the light turned green...all of a sudden he could keep the car straight...steering wheel keeps wobbling like crazy...he thought didn't hit any major bumps the whole trip...he gave it a lil speed...the wobbling eased up a lil...when he got to his folks place...he check the tires...omfg...the front driver tire had a big *** bubble causing the tire to be lop-sided...he then looks in the trunk...o damn no donut...so he attempts to take it to nearest place to replace the tires...he took a turn on the first block then KABOOM!!!!pop goes the tire!!!

depends on what type, size, and your budget.

if you want good inexpensive performance oriented tires get some Falkens or Kumhos.

intermiadiate: some continental or BFGoodrich

more expensive and better quality: Pirreli or Yokos
