more stupid exhaust questions...sorry im a newbie

ok i've got a few more exhaust questions that i didnt really find answers to when i searched...well i find a few answers but anyway...in going to stay away from doing a y pipe right now and was considering geting an RT cat with an apexi ws cat back...does anyone have this without a y pipe, i was curious on how it sounds and if its even worth buying the cat, my cars got 103k on it so it just may be time for a new cat, also from my search i heard RT cats have some problems, anyone recomend any other emisions legal high flow cats. and one last newbie question, is it posible for the stock pre cats on the stock y pipe to clog causing any power loss....

If your worried about sound, then just get the y pipe, and leave the cat and cat back stock... you will get more power gains from a Y pipe, then a Cat and a catback put together.

and dont worry so much about sound, thats the price to pay as your get your ride faster... over time u will learn to love it

well part of the reason im not doing a y pipe right now is becuse of parents and since my dad helped me find the car and get the car he still has some say in it and he doesnt really like the idea of taking off the pre cats thats why im looking at other options. In time when i get done with college i'll be geting a diferent car to drive everyday and then im gonna go with buying a motor from the junk yard i use to work at and rebuilding it and just going all out on the car cuz i love the car motors arent really that expensive compared to say a lil 4cyl out of a honda, i found motors between 500-800 with low miles, civic ex motors start at like 1200 but anyway thanx for the advice lol
