Help - Urgent - Ignition key won't turn

I just installed new struts+springs on all four, and never disconnected the battery during the process. Everything appeared to go fine, but when I got in to start+move the car, the ignition switch won't let me turn the key out of the lock position.

Wassupwitdat? I've gotta be missing something simple - suggestions - I want to go somewhere today...

I hope I don't insult you by saying this but is your steering wheel locked(won't move)? If so try to turn the wheel back and forth while turning the key.

That's exactly what it was. I found it in the manual right before coming back to check the forum again. I suppose it's understandable, considering about 4 people in the US actually use this feature.

This has happened in my moms car, all I did was go out and kick the wheels a few times! Then jerked the steering wheel a few times back and forth. then start it up!
