New KYB strut porblem!

I just put on KYB struts for the front and took it to the alignment shop. They called and said i have a such a negative camber on the left strut that they have to slot it. Does anyone know exactly what that is? Will it hurt the car or struts? I hate this alignment shop but they are the only ones i found that will align lowered cars.

It means they drill out the mounting points on the strut a bit so they can get the camber in spec.

Safe as long as they don't remove too much material. What springs do you have on there? If you are getting that much neg. camber, I would think there is something else going on. Has your car been hit before? Worn ball joint, control arm bushings, strut mount? Just some ideas. If you are only getting it on one side, I would really look into the condition of left side parts..broken, bent worn etC. Slotting the strut would be a last resort if I were in your position. But I don't think it would be unsafe, but it might mask another existing problem.
