Best way to launch a 2k2?

I searched and couldnt find anything similar, i figured i would ask the guys who are in the lower 14's with their 2k2 6 speeds..

Im gonna head out to the track soon and i want to know what rpm is best to launch at, and how much gas/clutch off the line. Our cars have a lot of power for a FWD car, and its hard to get a nice launch without spinning too much

I have been launching mine at around 1500 - 2000 RPM and lightly slipping the clutch. My average 60' times haven't been as good as some people but my clutch is in perfect health because of it.

stop being a baby and just do it, lol
when were you thinking of going?

my car is going in the shop next friday or saturday so I was gonna take everything out of the car anyway, it would be the perfect time.
let me know.

Anybody else have suggestions on how to launch a 2002? I'm going to be going to the track for my first time ever...
