Ride Quality Issues KYB-AGX/H&R's
Ride Quality Issues KYB-AGX/H&R's
I have the combo of KYB AGX struts and H&R springs. When these were on my maxima the ride really wasn't that much worse than stock at all, but now on my I30 the ride quality is defintely worse, its not TERRIBLE, but definitely worse than it was on my Maxima, what do you think could be the cause of this? I don't think that my 5 speed would have any effect on the ride quality. Any suggestions guys?

What settings front and rear?
What size rims do you have?
What kind of tires are on your car?
Every consider that you may possibly have an AGX strut that has given up?
Have you changed your settings lately? Try to go all the way back to 1 and all four corners, take the car for a ride and tweak it from there. You may have the rears on 2 different settings. When's the last time you actually looked at the dial settings back there?
Also I notice my car rides the best with the added weight of a full tank of gas.

Its now on 1 in the fronts and 2 in the rear. I did this because the ride quality seemed so harsh, but it made very little if any difference. I've only had these struts for about 6 months, and right now I'm riding on 15" wheels, I doubt those could be a problem either.
Are you comparing the ride from:
1) Stock Maxima to Modded Maxima
2) Stock I30 to Modded I30
3) Stock Maxima to Modded Maxima to Modded I30?
I'm thinking maybe it's #1 and 2. You're comparing a very soft ride on the I30 to one with the AGX which will definitely ride different as opposed to a Max -> Modded Max.
Just my 2c.
