Honda is one amazing car co.
The neighbor came over to meet yesterday, beautiful blonde lady. I noticed she was driving a brand-new Odyssey, said they got a great deal, they drove a hard bargain and got it for list. She said some are paying over list for it. I was like say what?? Sure enough, Edmunds shows that bad-boy going for about $1000 over list. Is that an excellent marketing model or what, regardless of if you hate Honda Motor or not. Then again they're always up-to-date like 5-spd auto, which Nissan has it? She's got to put up with a fully independent rear suspension, though. Maybe I'll buy their lawnmower and get into the Honda circle of trust.
I had the same experience when I bought my new '02 Honda Odyssey van last fall. Had to wait three weeks for delivery and paid MSRP. I't been well worth it though. Great van with published 0-60 times of 7.7 to 7.9 sec. and 1/4 mile in the 16.0 sec range. Much better then the others. Plus it doesn't depriciate nearly as fast as the rest of the mini-vans. The Toyota Sienna is nice too, but much slower. And it too depriciates at about the same rate as the Odyssey, but it was too small inside for my needs.
If Nissan gets it's act together with the Quest's replacemened and increases the interior size and engine power (3.5VQ-?), I might go back to them for a van next time, since I'm a Honda liker, but not lover.
