me and my bro installed a wsp ypipe on his i30 for a few months now, but after a few weeks the bolts at the two precats keep coming loose.
and every time we tighten them up again, my bro would tighten them up as much as he can, then i would get under and tight them up as much as i can..but they still come loose...this is the third time these bolts came loose...anyone know the torque spec for those bolts?
or know wat i should do?

Put a lock washer on them.

 

how about using some LOCTITE?
I believe that's what it's called...

I dont know man.... I think you should take it to a shop and get them tightened.. I've done all my mods mysef, but ypipe is one thing I dont wanna touch.

wat's loctite?
and what's a lock washer? wat does it look like?

 

loctite is a liquid/gel that makes bolts lock up. it's not permanent, but it will be very hard to unbolt when you're done.

 

Nam, if you want to stop by my house I can let you have the blue loctite that I have. I think I also have some lock washer too. Not sure if it's the right size though. Give me a call if you want to stop by anytime.
