$500 Mass Airflow Sensor!!

$500 Mass Airflow Sensor!!

I called my local Nissan Dealership today and was told here on the org that a mass airflow sensor woulnd cost me that much i call Nissan the guys laugh at me. They quote me $507 for the maf. Is something wrong here are those things in the intake path called something else to them i mean come on here what gives. Brian

well i've got a good maf that does its job well. Only prob was i overtorqued a bolt and it cracked the corner piece off, but it still sits flush and theres no leak. I can sell it to ya wayyyyyyyyyyyy less than 500 bucks since I already have another one, let me know if your interested.

I got mine from a junkyard for $100 Canadian. Never buy parts from a dealership unless you know they *have* to be new (gaskets, bearings, etc)

I had a 95 Probe GT before my 99 max, the MAF for that damn thing was $900. i got a junkyard one for $70. Internet junkyard are a beautiful thing.

Thanks anyways a good friend of mine who runs a repair shop just tool a look at it and as luck would have it one of the lines was fryed thank god he fixed it for free everything is good now thanks guys. Brian

you can try some reman MAF if there are any shops that sell them...Try distributors for your local auto repair shops...You might be able to find one for like 250 i'm guessing...
