Be armed to fight with dealers
Be armed to fight with dealers
NHTSA has a web site that list all recalls and (more importantly) TSB or Technical Service Bulletins. The TSB list little things that Nissan knows are wrong, but they're not big enough to issue a recall. A good example of this is all the squeaking we hear on the inside of our cars. This site lets you know basically what Nissan has admitted to so you are armed when you go to the dealer to get it fixed for free.

Click on either the recall link or the Techical Service Bulletin link.
For what it's worth, I hope it helps.

They can't. That was just an example. Not every squeak, but if you have a major squeak cause by, say two parts that don't fit together right, it could be covered. No guarantees that whatever problem you might have will be in a TSB, just a tool to find out if it is or not.

The NHTSA is now charging to get the full TSBs...I know there are some in the "Stickys" but does anybody have a comprehensive database of all of them arranged in some sort of logical order? Like by model year, etc...?
