Is the BrianV Intake mod considered a "POP Charger?"

I have spent the last hour reading about the BrianV Intake mod, but still ended up with 3 main questions, after extensive searching of the forum. These questions specifically relate to installation on a mechanically stock 1996 GLE auto (duh). The only thing non-stock will be the intake, if I decide to go with it. The questions:

1. Is the BrianV Intake mod considered a "POP Charger?"

2. If so, then would it benefit from the addition of a "midpipe," such as the ones from PR or Frankencar?

Slightly OT, but still tangently related:

3. What does the "Velocity Stack" portion of a Stillen Intake look like, can I buy it from Stillen, and would it result in any additional benefits?

3. Only slightly but the velocity stack is made that way to funnel air...but many intakes like mine just have a straight adapter...it is all relative to trying to get the best attempt at performance.

You could do this...

http://images.cardomain.com/installs...44_13_full.jpg

Cost me around $35. Here's what I based it off of.

http://www.drwebdesign.com/mymaxima/upperintake.html

Also, an FSTB can be had online for <$30 shipped almost anytime on eBay, so unless you want it really cheap you don't have to wait.

velocity stack is not that big of a deal

some of the K&N filters have built-in velocity stacks. that metal velocity adapter IMO is not worth $100

What, in the how-to, did the guy use as an adapter to actually mount the K&N itself? It looks like he bought a kit, as opposed to a "BrianV"-type fittament.

I always thought "pop charger" was a name made up by JWT for their intakes?

I used the brass piece inside the top of the stock air box with some gasket maker... worked great.

You can do better than that go to MaximaForum.com go to 4th gen then go to Intakes. I wrote up a much better way to make an tinake then the BrianV getto mod it hooks up a lot better and it doesn't look like **** like his. If your to lazy to go over there (I would tho its a great site) Just PM and i will give u the full write up of what i did on mine. Brian

I appreciate the link, but try to have a little respect for BrianV. It does not look bad (in my opinion), an dfor what it costs, it is hard to complain. But again, thanks for the direction!
