Dextron 3 Auto Tranny Fluid

Is Dextron 3/Mercon a good automatic tranny fluid for my 2k1 Auto Maxima? Thanks.

I have converted 2 automatics to AMSOIL Synthetic ATF with marvelous results. If it were my car I switch to synthetic w/o a second thought. Tranny is quieter, smoother and shifts smooother.

the dexron 3 is what nissan puts in the car but under their brand name. if you want whats in there put that, if you want something better try amsoil or i have used mobil 1 with good results.
