Finally My Variable Intake works!!!! Oh LORD!!

Ok , after I find that the 3/8 inch hose I had was to big and leaked, I went down to 1/8 inch hose.

Then I found I had 2 bad grounds and a bad splice point, all due to corrision.

Then I found that the rod that holds all the butterfly valves was slightly bent and not allowing the butterfly valves to close.

Well 1 week after I started my VI works like a champ.

And after a 10 minute ride in my automatic.. I really like 2nd gear

I will find out more later. The dyno is about a 2 weeks down the road.

Thanks to Mrcranman who sold it to me. Thanks to speedtrip, mardigras, ant97se, mishmosh, nealoc187 ( sorry if I misspelled it) , Ians, xhypex, and some people I am sure I forgot.

If you don't have one.. fake your own death and buy one with the insurance money

YES IT IS THAT GOOD TO ME.

It shifted so hard into 2nd and 3rd gear at 6600 rpm's, I thought my dash board was going to fall into my lap. NO I do not have the VB mob.

Sweet!!! I'm glad you worked it all out. It seems like most of the problems we're experiencing with the VI are due to the installer (us) and not the product. I'm glad you sorted it all out. I know I had a couple "bugs" too.

What switchover did you use? Can you hear a different intake sound once the VI is fully activated?

ben... your a cutie

dave.. the ONLY problems I had were caused by ME... so your correct in that statement.. I am at 4800 rpms..just plugged something in there. I can barley tell a difference.. I have a CAI it seems to be making less noise.. I have not really payed attention to busy looking at the road .. I will pay more attention and let you know what I am finding

cumalot- yes finally..

Congrats man

Glad to hear you got it working finally. I am hoping to start this project on Sunday with redmaxpa007 helping me out.

Are there any extra parts that you needed:

Hoses, gaskets etc.

I do have the list of the items needed to make the vacuum work.

Also, where did you get you rmap baro switch from?

Thanks in advance!

gawddayum!! I think I'm getting ME/VI envy

Congrats bags!

After I start modding this puppy (next year, no money this year) this VIM is definitely gonna be on the list.

Important Question: is the supply for these things good or do I seriously need to order it now?
