SLOTTED OR CROSS DRILLED ROTORS?

wich do you guys consider to perform better for everyday use? Also could stock brake pads be used with these rotors or would i have to upgrade those as well? A couple of friends of mine have used the porterfield brakes and they said that they heat up quickly. Also i heard that the stock brake pads are of better quality.. im not that big on brakes so any info would be appreciated.. Thanks
For everyday use (ie-not track racing) just get some nice pads. Axxis/PBR Delux or EBC's.
