b&g springs review

Well I've had the b&g springs on for about 1 week. At the current moment I'm running stock struts and everything is fine. It sits more level in cornering, however going over like bridges or some humps in the road you can tell these stocker struts wont hold more than six months..Its a little bouncy. I think that will be fixed with the new koni's or agx's. As far as stiffness a good bit stiffer than stock, but not to bad. I recommend them highly.

I will take some pics tomorrow if I can and post them up.

I just installed my H&Rs and it sounds like they are similiar to the B&Gs. My fender gap with wide 7.5" 16" Kosei K1s and 225/50 tires is 2.2" in the front and 2.1" in the rear. The ride is so much smoother than the Intrax I use to have. My shock orginal settings were 1 in the front and 1 in the rear. It was a little too bouncy for my taste. I've firmed everything up to 50% and all is well. With my Intrax, a 50/50 setting would mean a very harsh ride. With the H&Rs and a 50/50 setting, the ride is still very soft, but the handling and body control are superb. I love it. Adjustable struts are a must for lowering springs.

So...now that you have tried both Intrax and H&Rs, if you didn't have to go offroad, etc. for your job, would you keep the H&Rs or go back to the Intraxes?

heh, stock shocks/struts? Those won't last at all! You're in for some noises soon enough. B&G are advanced; you need a good shock/strut to keep up with them; even looking at the springs they are very beefy (and they actually match AGX lol!). I recommend something like konis or AGX ASAP.

Yeah next thing on the list are some KYB agx's. I have noticed that today going over some of the same roads as last week the back end is a little more bouncy..Looks like I need to order soon for sure.

I'd have to say the H&Rs are more my kind of ride. Visually, the Intrax look better, but I prefer a softer ride at the expense of all out handling (on smooth surfaces). The H&Rs are softer and more controlled over rutted and bumpy surfaces than the Intrax.

I haven't heard of it being a problem with the springs in the front. For some springs though, it does matter in the rear.

example: maxspeed rear springs. - bottom is smaller than the top. people who have installed it wrong have gotten lots of noise.

Most springs have some kind of writing on them. If you can read them upright, then they're facing the right way.
