How bad will rims slow me down?

Will stock 5th gen 17" rims adversely affect my acceleration/braking badly? I understand the physics of more revolving mass farther from the hub, etc, but I would also think that the aluminum rims would have less mass than my stock steel 15" GXE rims (the ugly ones w/hubcaps)? Also, how bad will the speedometer error be? I am thinking of replacing 215-60-R15's with 235-50-R17's. What do you guys think?

Thanks.

I have some heavy 350z wheels, and when I installed them I did feel a decrease in acceleration. As far as the speedo being incorrect, I went with 235/45/17, which have the same circumference as the original 215/55/16.

seems like performance is your interest, if your that worried then get some light 17 inch wheels. Your performance wont suffer that much!!
