Cleaning "tail light goo"

What is the best way to clean the black tail light sealent off of the lens itself on the outside? I dont want to try any sorta thinners yet, casue it might craze the plastic.

I got some on my lense too when I did it and I used some paint thinner and it was fine. Just put it on a paper towel and wipe a little and it will come off. This is what I did.
