o2 sensor problems???or something else???

to all the tight as$es i know what you're gonna say but before you do so, read on.....i've already been doing some searching and i can't find what i'm looking for.
newayz...
whenever i turn on my car the engine runs very rough...if i give it gas the enginge seems to choke and won't rev up..if i pesist to increase throttle a pop noise comes from the intake... i took out the air box today to see if in fact the pop was coming from the intake, and i was right...so is this the o2 sensor phukin up on me?
any help is appreciated or even if you guys can't do that at least leave me a link to a good explanation of this issue.
thanx

It sounds like it's a little more than the O2 sensor. I dunno anything about VGs, but it sounds like a fuel issue, either fuel pump or a fuel injector is FUBAR'd. Check your engine codes. I dunno how to do that either, on a VG

VE powah!

What you seem to be describing is a "backfire" issue into the intake system. This can be caused by a fuel mixture or timing problem, by vacuum leaks or a few other issues. It's possible your timing belt wasn't tight as$ed enough and slipped a tooth -- do you know when it was last replaced?

The oxygen sensor wouldn't be my first guess.

Could be a bad throttle positioning sensor.

i hate this problem! so many people get it, but there's so many things that could cause it. i guess i'll have to wait and see what nissan says after the diagnostic test. actually i'm going to check the ecu for error codes as well.
i really don't trust nissan to pin point the problem.

thanx for the help people

i had a problem similar to yours, i thought it was a bad fuel filter or something, i had a guy look at it and come to fingd out that it was the mas air flow sensor, big bucks new found one used though.
